Boxing and Kitchen Knives…
No, not boxing WITH kitchen knives…
I boxed yesterday and every time I do, it’s a great workout, BUT I messed up my right wrist I think. Oh man it hurts!! Even just doing normal things, it stings in pain. It may just be the muscles from my wrist tightning and punching for 40 minutes straight, but there is some strange popping happening, even as i type. Hmmm.
SO here’s my story for the day (if you haven’t already read it on Facebook). I walked into a gas station yesterday, made my purchase and walked out with a free diet coke and a free set of kitchen knives.
Yeah, random, I know! I guess that’s “minnesota nice” for you, huh? so randomly strange. But I LOVE random!
Has anyone every heard of the Bodybugg? It’s featured on the Biggest Loser. I want one SOOO bad. but they are kind of pricey (about $179) and I cant afford that, but once I can save up, it seems like a GREAT tool. It monitors exactly how many calories you burn throughout the day and the deficit you need to lose weight. SO I figured I would use my Polar Heart rate monitor today and keep it on all day, for 24 hours and see exactly how many calories I burn, just living. (I’ll subtract the calories I used while working out which was about 400). Once I can figure that out, I’ll make my meal plans and try and create a deficit to lose a certain amount of weight each week! I’m going to call it my “julie fit club”…..(as in, Celebrity Fit Club? ha!)
So I’ll try it next week and see how accurate I can be!
Eats today:
Breakfast was random
1/4 c Texas Caviar (basically beans, beans and more beans, corn, peppers, vinegar and a little sugar)
15 Baked Tostito Scoops
3/4 C Shudwa (Assyrian dish made with tomatos, green peppers, onions, mushrooms and lean beef)
I know, kind of a random breakfast, but it worked. However, i am REAL hungry right now.
Lunch:
TUrkey sandwhich with honey mustard and avocado
cucumber
apple
Fresh Green beans
Dinner:
Not sure yet….possibly a veggie portabella burger, or a smart ones, or maybe an actual turkey burger…we’ll see…:)
