Wusthof is a manufacturer of quality knives, but double check your order, especially if you have ordered more than one knife at a time. I read many consumer reviews on the block set in which consumers found that only a few knives from the set were quality, while the rest were not. I received a block set (8130), Wusthof knives for Christmas. After a thorough investigation, I noticed that most of the knives were not what I ordered. While I ordered the Gourmet line, most of the knives were received formuch lesser quality. Only three knives were the actual line of gourmet knives as they are marked with serial numbers. If your knives are identified by numbers beginning with “8″, then chances are you’ve got knives incorrectly set. Wusthof knives for beginning with the number four (including Grand Prix, culinary, gourmet, etc.). I have contacted both the mains and Wusthof to make them aware of this problem. It seems there was a problem in the maritime area of one ofthe two. The food web was great when you talk to them. I want to make sure that everyone has actually received what they paid. Regarding the three knives Gourmet I received are very good quality. I sent back the entire block (by the Food Network) and does not wait to play with my new set of gourmet knives.

They basically agree with what other reviewers have written (except Mn and Mo-Mn is manganese, molybdenum Mo). Craft are top of the Wusthof Classic line? No, they are not. But at a fraction of the price of the Classic, already knew that it would be. The plastic handle and steel thinner feel a bit ‘about the size cheap when you hold the knife, but they look great with the rest of our Wusthof cutlery (which is why my boyfriend and I bought them). EDo not worry about performance, all the meat that I cut nicely succumb to the blades straight edge. What I can not comment on is the longevity of the blades’. We just had them recently, and I do not know how they will keep their advantage. br / My last word about them is that those who can afford the Classic line (and I really want to be one of them) should buy the Classic. But for those who can not, do not be shy about purchasing Gourmet. You get what you pay for, and since you’re paying forWusthof, how can you be disappointed?
