Consumer Reports Home & Garden Blog: Can Guy Fieri sharpen the …

Ergo Chef is adding a 4-piece steak knife set and a 17-slot station block to its Guy Fieri Knuckle Sandwich cutlery collection. “It’s all about go big or go home,” said the high-octane, peroxide-coiffed host of “Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives” on the Food Network. The new items will be available later this year.

Fieri’s original collection didn’t launch in time for Consumer Reports latest review of kitchen knives. But if the blades are as good as he claims—”a combination of the best materials with a design that will blow your mind”—they’ll be the exception to most celebrity-endorsed cutlery we’ve tested. The Martha Stewart Collection Triple Riveted knives, $100, came in last in our Ratings of nearly 50 products. Paula Deen’s $100 collection was a cut above Martha, but still well below our recommended models.

Emeril Lagasse’s Wusthof Emeril Professional knives got the highest celebrity marks in our tests, but at $500 they’re also some of the priciest.

cananyone tell me how to set the h700 blue tooth headset from motorola up for paring lost manual need help?

motorola H700 blue tooth headset manual lost need manual or info on how to pare the headset to a phone please very desperate
thanks

Charge it first.. then turn the bluetooth on in your phone thru the menu.. this is different for all phones. It should go something like: Menue-Settings-Connection- Bluetooth-Setup. Go to the Power setting and turn it to On.

Put the headset in Pairing mode:
1. Turn headset off (boom closed – no lights)
2. Press and hold the call button.. for 4-5 seconds. The indicator light should now be purple. Release the call button and immediately open the boom. The light should stay steady purple.
If not steady purple… start over with #1 and try again.

Go back to your phone and tell it to look for devices… Should be something like: Menue-Settings-Connection- Bluetooth-Handsfree-Look for Devices.

It should find the H700. Select OK or Yes to pair your headset to the phone.

Enter the PASSKEY 0000
Select OK.

When the light changes from purple to flashing blue.. you are done!

“Too cheap, look else where” 2010-02-08
By Will C. (Portland, OR USA)
We purchased these after friends recommended Wusthof over Henckels because ‘Wusthof doesn’t make a cheap knife.’ Well, I know these are the bottom of the line, but they where disappointing. The knives where flimsy, light and felt & looked cheap. We ended up returning them and spending a bit more money for a set of Henckels where were forged instead of cut, resulting in a higher quality knife (at the same price, the Wusthofs where still laser cut). It seems at this price you’d be better off spending a bit more money and looking at a different set.
