Is it possible to get infected when you get cut with the tip of the knife?

Someone from my school had a knife and he threatened (not going to be very detailed) me but accidentally cut my arm with the tip of his knife, I was wearing a coat and the coat is fine but there is a red blood stain on my arm. So is it possible to get infected? It stains but does that mean its infected?
