The above comments confirm that not many wealthy (and therefore, most likely, older individuals) don’t visit sites such as Woot (yes, obvious statement is obvious). Myself, I’m just a college student, but my parents are well off. When you’re in the highest tier of the tax bracket, you can buy stuff like 145 dollar towels, 15k telescopes, and 2.6 million dollar homes. So a set of Shun Ken knives for $1900 from Williams-Sonoma makes perfect sense. Now, for the rest of us, the money can be used much more effectively elsewhere, like rent, or groceries, but for those who have huge disposable incomes, the question boils down to: Why Not?
