Well after searching and searching, reading report and reading reports i decided on this set. i ordered them from [...] at initial and then found them cheaper $[...] shipped at [...] so i canceled and ordered from them. received the set and right away i knew i was going to love these knifes. well balanced, well weighted, and undergo good in hand. i was a little worried that the poly grip deal withs were going to be squishy but they are not at all. truthful a very dinky give and undergos soft to the palpate. i categorically certainly like the poly grip handles. the steak knife deal withs are a little thin but still work good. I am comparing an Anolon set to a JA Henckels International. Are both materials dishwasher safe? Which is most rust resistant and longer lasting?

A good stainless steel set is fine for an all round kitchen set. A good set of knives, no matter which you choose should not be washed in the dishwasher..they should be hand washed and dried. Forged high carbon is a bit better quality and we have them for hunting knives..but use a good stainless set for kitchen knives. This would be a personal choice as to what you like.

Why does my stainless flatware get "rust" on it?

I have noticed that all of my flatware, including my good Chicago Cutlery knives, have gotten a rust effect on them. I always wash and dry our things. When I use a big knife I wash and dry it right away. I thought stainless was not supposed to rust… any suggestions on how to clean them or what i’m doing wrong?
